American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE)

Blacks in energy-related professions, including engineers, scienctists, consultants, academicians, and entrepreneurs; government officials and public policymakers; interested students. Represents blacks and other minorities in matters involving energy use and research, the formulation of energy policy, the ownership of energy resources, and the development of energy technologies. Seeks to increase the knowledge, understandin, and awarenes of the minority community in energy issues by serving as an energy information source for policymakers, recommending blacks and other minorities to appropriate energy officials and executives, encouraging students to pursue professional careers in the energy industy, and advocating the participation of blacks and other minorities in energy programs and policymaking activities. Updates members of key legislation and regulation being developed by the DOE, Department of the Interior, the Departemetn of Commerce, the Small BUsiness Administration, andother federal and state agencies. American Boiler Manufacturers Association (ABMA)

ABMA is a national association representing the manufacturers of commercial, industrial and utility steam generating and fuel burning equipment, as well as suppliers to the industry. The primary goal of ABMA is to promote the common business interests of the boiler manufacturing industry and to promote the safe, environmentally friendly use of the products and services of its members. American Gas Association

The American Gas Association (AGA) represents 189 local natural gas utilities that serve customers in all 50 states. AGA members deliver natural gas to more than 93 percent of the 60 million U.S. homes and businesses that use natural gas. Additionally, AGA provides services to member natural gas pipelines, marketers, gatherers, international gas companies and a variety of industry associates. AGA's mission is to advocate the interests of its natural gas utility members and their customers and to provide information and services promoting operational excellence in the safe, reliable and cost-competitive delivery of natural gas.
