SAIC Discusses Oil and Gas Issues at Niobrara Infrastructure Development Summit

SAIC (Science Applications International Corporation) - 03.12.2013

Vice President Jeffrey Spearman and Project Manager Andrew Foley, both in the Oil, Gas & Chemicals Segment of Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), will chair and moderate at the 3rd Annual Niobrara Infrastructure Development Summit, to be held in the Magnolia Ballroom in Denver, Colo. March 18-20.

Optimism and enthusiasm are at an all-time high for the Niobrara play due to recent positive drilling results. The play is expanding outside the traditional fields, and as a consequence, the Rocky Mountain energy market has been a hot spot, seeing 13 mergers and acquisitions in the second quarter of 2012, featuring both acreage and midstream infrastructure deals. However, many parts of the Niobrara are short of vital infrastructure. As new drilling targets are currently being tested, energy companies recognize the growing need for water, midstream, transportation and community infrastructure build-out. The conference will focus on the infrastructure needed to bring Niobrara oil and natural gas liquids to the market and will bring together exploration and production companies with experts in midstream and transportation, finance, environmental and water testing, like SAIC, who will assess the overall infrastructure build-out needs, plans, and opportunities in the Niobrara play.

SAIC understands the technical and business issues that are critical to owners, operators, developers, private equity investors, and the lending community. Spearman and Foley lead comprehensive, integrated assessments of these issues focused on maximizing client return on investment while minimizing associated risk. Spearman will chair the Summit and will also moderate the event’s keynote panel: “Producers’ Outlook on New Infrastructure Development Needed to Support Booming Niobrara Production.” Additionally, Foley will moderate the panel titled “Midstream Providers’ Perspective on Infrastructure Build-Out in the Rocky Mountains.” For more information on SAIC’s involvement and the entire event agenda, visit http://infocastinc.com/events/niobrara13.
